What a month!

I was going to say what a week - but really so far April has been a crazy month and it hasn't even hit the half way mark.

I just celebrated my 27th - wow - birthday! It was a nice birthday --- better than I thought it could be. Since my best friend - April - and I are only 4 days apart its really a birthday month! We started it off by going out for dinner after IWT (International World Tour - will talk of later) Saturday April 5th with Fred and Aaron. It was so nice for the four of us to get together and just chat. Aprils birthday was the next day and she celebrated with family. Since I hadn't given her a gift yet- Monday I took her out for lunch and gave her her birthday present. She later treated me to a birthday lunch on Thursday (my actual birthday) and my present! She got me this cute scrapbook book about scrapping your faith - can't wait to look through it, and she also gave me "Elizabeth - The Golden Age" DVD which I love! Something about that time period I just love! Mind you I wouldn't have survived back as there wouldn't have been any indoor plumbing or curling irons (yikes!) but its fun to watch.

Fred actually started my birthday off Wednesday night by bringing home my favourite cake ever - DQ ice cream cake --- and it was an extreme chocolate ice cream cake -- who knew they could make it even better then the original :)
Thursday he greeted me in the morning with a "happy birthday" and was so excited to give me my gift -- but I broke tradition and asked to get it at dinner. I wasn't feeling well and knew I wouldn't truly appreciate me gift. So he took me out to dinner that night and I got to open his gift - a beautiful Fuji 9mp digital camera! Exactly what i wanted - I love him so much -- when we were looking at cameras I was surprised to find little to nothing in my price range and when I saw the Fuji I didn't think i would get it due to $$$ but Fred was so sweet he said that I should have it since I didn't get much a Christmas! He really does want and likes to spoil me! His parents also sent a gift along - a beautiful garden lantern and a gift card for walmart - which I spent right after dinner on the first "Elizabeth" DVD. I also got some new clothes from walmart - I was so excited about my new finds! 3 shirts and 2 pairs of jeans for $60!!!! I rarely shop at Walmart for clothes - especially jeans but I was blessed with good finds that night!

Mom continued my birthday celebration with dinner out to Kelsey's Friday night and a trip to the movies. We went and saw Nim's Island with Jodie Foster - it was cute - if you have young girls they will really like it! This was mom and I's first in a very long time Girls Night Out - it was fun - good food, good conversation, good times. We even went and checked out the new Winners that just opened. I was excited to see in the same strip there is a Reitmans opening up! That will be dangerous! Mom and dad also spoiled me with a heat gun for scrapbooking and $$$ for whatever. I have been talking about furniture and lamps for our living room --- so we'll see.

April and I still have stuff planned for our birthday month - on the 24th I believe - we are going to a Cropping Day in Kingston! So excited! Its a 12hour crop day near our favourite scrapbook store in Kingston - we are going to have a blast!

Oh and today when Fred gets back from the church (he was running a 30hour famine and an over night sleepover for the youth group) and has a sleep we might go back to Kingston for more shopping and dinner - yes I know - I'm spoiled!

But more so then spoiled I am blessed....this past weekend with International World Tour was amazing. God's hand was on Kingston in such a big way. I was so nervous with my responsiblities Friday night that I was having a hard time seeing it - but God was working in the missionaries that had come from all over the world to spread the gospel to those who were unsaved and I believe to renew the fire in those who are saved -- and that included me. I could feel the Holy Spirit working its way in my again. Far to long I had not been listening to it - instead doing my own stuff on my own energy -- and I wasn't doing well (no surprise). But these events - the power and energy behind them really awakened me again. I was so excited to see the crowds of people come to know the Lord over the course of 4 days. And one of the most exciting things that happened for me was getting prayed over by one the guys from Team Extreme - he was talking and praying with Fred on Thursday night - and Fred introduced me to him Sunday night - I was thanking him for coming and doing such an awesome job and then he started asking me questions "Do you guys have any kids", "How long have you been married", "are you having problems?" I started to cry at the knowledge the Lord had given this guy - he then asked if he could pray for me. I was crying the whole time as he prayed for Fred and I - that one day we would be blessed with children! I was so thankful! Wow God you are awesome - even as I think about this I get teary eyed. God is so good!

Anyways Fred and Abby (our puppy) are back from the church so I'm going to wrap this up. If anyone out there is reading this can you please let me know - leave me a comment! I will leave you with pictures of our very cute puppy Abby!

ah ha! I had a problem logging into my blog so I couldn't leave a comment saying that it was from me, but had to post one as anonymous. But I got it figured out.
I just felt the need to tell that to someone lol.
